Vinyasa Flow Yoga with Nadya Tkachenko, RYT

Vinyasa Flow Yoga style of yoga aligns each movement with breath and links all postures in a smoothly orchestrated dance-like flow, which is why this meditative movement technique is also called Flow yoga. Nadya's Vinyasa Flow Class will take you on a rejuvenating and empowering journey through breathing exercises, soulful meditation, energizing posture sequences, and deep relaxation. Detailed instructions and plenty of variations offered for different abilities help students relax in a safe, healing environment. Continuous practice allows students to build strength and flexibility, increase vitality, and cultivate serenity. Some have commented that Nadya's classes are “A full package, a spa!” All levels warmly welcome.

INSTRUCTOR PROFILE: Nadya came to yoga over a decade ago, looking for a way to de-stress after a long day at an office desk on Wall Street. Discovering a deeper interest in eastern philosophy and yoga, Nadya traveled to China, Tibet and ended up in Nepal, Kathmandu, where she spent several weeks studying Ashtanga Yoga at the Holistic Yoga Ashrama. Later, while in London UK, Nadya received a Yoga Teacher Certificate from The Yoga Education Institute and, more recently, from Mama Nirvana's Teacher Training program in Amherst, MA. Originally from Kazakhstan, Nadya is fluent in Russian and conversant in Mandarin, with background and degrees in East Asian Studies, Social Anthropology, and Education. Nadya lives in Montague, MA. She is a busy mom of two preschoolers and enjoys her day job which involves working with moms and for moms at MotherWoman Inc. Read more here: Yoga with Nadya.

Yoga with Danielle Martineau

Saturdays 9:30-11:00
$13 per class, $44 for monthly class card. Drop-ins are welcome!

Danielle Martineau is a certified 200-hour yoga teacher from Embodyoga in Amherst Massachusetts. Formally a dancer, with a B.S in public health and a background in holistic health, she has an in depth understanding of the importance of mind-body connection. She practices Zen Buddhism and is a steward for the Greenfield Dharma House, a socially engaged Buddhist organization that helps coordinate weekly meals for the community of Greenfield. She is trained in classic dance and traditional folk dances such as Middle Eastern dance with Sahina and Flamenco with Ines Arrubla. She also performs with her dance troupe, Bodywave. Her classes focus on relaxation, stretching, and strength building through the development of various postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation. Her classes offer a gentle-flow to asana training and are a beginner/intermediate level class.

Intro To Yoga, Tuesdays, 5:00 - 6:45 p.m.

Yoga for Men (an intermediate level course),  Tuesdays, 7:00 - 8:15 p.m.

Ivan teaches Sivananda Yoga, A classic form of Hatha Yoga focused on stretching, breathing and relaxing. Ivan is also offering the following services for men and women on an on demand basis:

* Transformational Breathwork (Inspirational/Dolphin Breath): A nurtured approach to an intense method for releasing long stagnant and blocked energy, this form is modeled on the conscious breathing of dolphins. High intensity private session: Recommended for those with some experience in inner growth work.

* Reiki: Traditional, hands-on healing form brings concentrated life-force energy to blocked or compromised physical areas or life situations. Light intensity private session.
